If sleepless nights are becoming a nightmare because of excessive snoring, it’s time you let the sleep apnea expert, Dr. Pamela West, work her magic. She knows how difficult it can be dealing with excessive snoring and the effects it can have on your personal relationships. Our team in Las Vegas, NV is ready to help you get your sleep-filled nights back!

What is Sleep Apnea?

Sleep apnea is an involuntary cessation of breathing that occurs while a patient is asleep. Basically, it occurs when a person’s breathing is interrupted during sleep, usually a period lasting between 10-20 seconds. If left untreated, breathing is halted repeatedly during sleep, sometimes hundreds of times. Serious consequences include high blood pressure, heart disease, eye problems, stroke, chronic fatigue, diabetes, depression and other ailments.

The symptoms of Sleep Apnea vary:

  • Extremely loud snoring
  • Obesity
  • Persistent daytime sleepiness
  • Bouts of awakening out of breath during the night
  • Frequent dry mouth or headaches after awakening

How We Treat Sleep Apnea

Sleep apnea treatment in Summerlin is a cinch with Dr. West. In the past, CPAP machines were standard protocol in the case of sleep apnea treatment, but not anymore. Dr. West puts it best, “Sleeping with a CPAP machine, which includes a face mask, tubing and a constantly running motor, can be difficult, and many Las Vegas residents are unaware that effective — and comfortable — alternative treatment is available. I’m committed to using my knowledge of dental sleep medicine to help treat my patient’s snoring and sleep apnea, and provide Las Vegas residents with a better night’s rest.”

That’s why we offer oral appliances to help treat your sleep apnea. Oral appliances are a mouth guard-like device worn only during sleep to maintain an open, unobstructed airway. Patients rave about oral appliance therapy because it is comfortable, easy to wear, quiet, portable, and easy to care for. Our goal is to make you as comfortable as possible throughout your treatment.
