Sleep Apnea Treatment<\/h3>\n

Sleep apnea<\/a> is a sleep disorder that occurs when you repeatedly stop breathing during sleep. This can happen multiple times throughout the night, which prevents your brain and other organs from getting much needed oxygen. Sleep apnea can contribute to chronic health concerns such as diabetes, heart failure, stroke, and high blood pressure.<\/p>\n

Dr. Pamela West is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM). This is the leading national organization for dentists who treat snoring and obstructive sleep apnea with oral appliance therapy. Depending on your situation, different oral appliances may help to position your jaw and maintain an open airway during sleep. Many patients really appreciate this treatment as opposed to the CPAP machine, which requires wearing a mask and a continual running motor while you sleep.<\/p>\n

CEREC Same-Day Crowns<\/h3>\n

Dr. West understands that your time is valuable and taking time out of your busy day for dental appointments can be challenging. For this reason she invests in the latest dental technology which helps to make treatment more comfortable and efficient for patients. The CEREC same-day crown system<\/a> has taken what typically was a two to three week process to get a porcelain crown and reduced it to one appointment.<\/p>\n

This revolutionary system scans your mouth to create a 3D image of your tooth. This image is sent to an in-office milling system that creates a natural looking, durable porcelain crown while you wait comfortably. You will leave the same day with a beautiful porcelain crown that no one will ever notice you had done.<\/p>\n

Besides efficiency, CEREC offers other benefits for patients. 3D imaging replaces the uncomfortable and messy impressions that used to have to be taken of your tooth for your crown. You also won\u2019t have to deal with temporary crowns that could break or come out while waiting for your permanent crown.<\/p>\n
